Anti-drug dog finds 18 kilos of cocaine in soft drink bottles in a Brazilian port.

The drug was hidden inside 3-liter plastic soda bottles and was detected during the search by K9 “Sheriff” in two cages of said product.

The Military Police of Amazonas, through a private canine surveillance company and the River Operations Company of the Environmental Police Battalion, arrested a 19-year-old man, from whom they seized 18 kilos of cocaine base paste, this Monday afternoon, in the Port of Manaus, Brazil

The investigations began once the military police received a complaint about a boat, coming from the municipality of Tabatinga (1,108 kilometers from Manaus), that was docked in the Port of Manaus and there was a man transporting drugs.

According to the police report, with the help of the dog "Sheriff", the police teams found the drugs hidden in the double bottoms of soda bottles during the raid.

Once the detainee was questioned by the police, he confessed that he was transporting the drugs hidden inside soda bottles.

The suspect, along with the seized material, was transferred to the 1st Integrated Police District (DIP).
