It is believed that during the recent flooding in the region, the owner, in an act of desperation, left the dog and her puppies in the refrigerator floating on water in the house. The video moved many on the networks.
The dog and her puppies managed to survive being taken to a shelter by Civil Defense rescue teams, where they received veterinary attention, food and the necessary care.
According to the Civil Defense, the floods have caused 83 deaths, 111 missing and 276 injured. 345 of the 496 municipalities in the state face problems due to the rains, affecting some 850,000 people.
