Pastor and her lover steal 11 million pesos from tithes.

The two planned to steal the funds after her husband, the church's senior pastor, removed her from the administration after discovering their relationship.

A pastor and her lover, a gym instructor, were arrested when they tried to flee with more than 11 million pesos, allegedly stolen from the tithes of the Casa de Adoración church in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas.

The state prosecutor's office reported that a search was carried out for a crime against health, in its form of drug dealing, in a property on Benito Juárez street, in the Miravalle neighborhood.

During the operation, Karen "N", wife of the church pastor, and Eduardo "N", her gym instructor, were arrested, both with arrest warrants for robbery with aggravated violence.

They seized a Mazda 3 vehicle with Chiapas license plates, a Chrysler Patriot pickup truck without license plates, a Peugeot pickup truck with Chiapas license plates, a Nissan Altima without license plates, a motorcycle with Chiapas license plates, a BB gun and 29 packages of money, totaling 11 million 536 thousand 500 pesos.

According to the investigation, Karen "N" planned the robbery after being removed from the administration of the church funds by her husband, upon discovering her relationship with the instructor. The assault took place at the home of her ex-mother-in-law, who was assaulted and gagged to access the safe.

Both were admitted to the El Amate prison while their legal situation is resolved.
