Estefanía Primera, better known as "La Barbie", was arrested in Texas, USA, while walking with her five children and is accused of leading a human trafficking network between Mexico and the United States, forcing women into prostitution.
He used the Gateway Hotel in El Paso as a base of operations and his capture occurred on September 27, although the news was only disclosed this Tuesday through a police report consulted by The New York Post.
At the time of his arrest, he was loitering near a church with his children, whom he also used as "mules" for drug trafficking.
One of the victims identified her as the leader of the group that took her to the United States. Another victim reported that "La Barbie" repeatedly drugged her with fentanyl so that men could gang rape her. When she woke up, she found herself surrounded and had suffered serious injuries. She tried to escape, but "La Barbie" found her and beat her back to the hotel.
Authorities say El Tren de Aragua has been involved in sex trafficking in several states, including California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Nevada, New Jersey, New York and Texas.
