A 42-year-old individual in La Plata, Argentina, has been arrested after attempting to commit fraud against his insurer by setting his own car on fire.

The event took place at the intersection of 42nd streets between 10th and Diagonal 77th. The individual in question showed up at the Second Police Station to report that unknown persons had started a fire in his vehicle.

However, the inconsistencies in his testimony and his nervousness raised suspicions among police officers, who began an investigation into the matter.

The individual was arrested and transferred to the Second Police Station, where he remained under the jurisdiction of the acting Prosecutor's Office 17, which charged him with the crime of "false complaint."
