The tourist decided to take them to his apartment. However, he ended up being the victim of a scopolamine robbery.
The security cameras were recorded when the man entered on his own, and apparently had no difficulty walking.
Unfortunately, scopolamine robberies are not new in Colombia, and criminal gangs have used this substance to drug their victims and steal their belongings, while they enjoy "a sweet dream."
According to police sources, in 2023 there were 254 robberies with scopolamine in Medellín, which is why the Colombian authorities and the US embassy itself have recommended tourists not to use dating applications.
