A 30-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of her 17-month-old daughter on Wednesday, according to information from authorities in Galveston, Texas.

The victim, identified as Hannah Yonko, was found with serious injuries after neighbors alerted about an abandoned girl at the Beachfront Palms Hotel.
Despite the efforts of doctors, the little girl died at a local hospital. During the investigation, the sisters' belongings, a knife, sand toys, diapers and children's snacks were found in a container in the hotel parking lot.
In addition, a video revealed the tragic moment in which the girl fell from the balcony and was later found on the sidewalk.
Authorities confirmed that Child Protective Services had previously been involved with Channel Yonko.
