A man is shot to death in front of his wife and children.

According to the Peruvian police report, the victim, who had a criminal record, was shot ten times.


Violence continues to generate fear in the streets of Lima. On July 31, a hitman murdered a 35-year-old man, identified as Walter Dadne Román Salazar, in front of his wife and minor children.

Román was on the terrace of a cevicheria on José Paredes Troncal Avenue, in Ancón, enjoying a family moment, when a criminal dressed in black approached without warning, shooting him in the head from behind, causing his instant death, while between screams and cries, wife and children watched the terrifying scene.

Security cameras recorded the crime, showing Román looking at his cell phone when the hitman arrived, covered in a mask, surgical gloves, hat and red sneakers. After committing the murder, the criminal fled outside, where another accomplice was waiting on a blue motorcycle.

Walter Dadne Román Salazar had a record of aggravated robbery and injuries.

The wife and children were taken to a safe place to receive psychological care after the incident, while the Peruvian police an investigation was launched to clarify the motives for the murder.

A suspect has been detained, but police have not yet released further details about his identity.
