Chilean Public Ministry reveals video where the major police officer loses his life
The images show how the police officer tried to confront a motorcycle rider and other subjects who were assaulting passers-by on San Pablo Avenue.
In the middle of the presentation hearing of the three involved in the death of the Carabineros major, Emmanuel Sánchez, last Wednesday, April 10, a new video was released showing the actions of the murderers against the uniformed man.
The record came to light last Sunday afternoon in the 6th Guarantee Court of Santiago as one of the pieces of evidence that became key in the case.
It was the former Public Ministry that exposed the video where it is possible to see how the events happened, along with an audio that also shows the ruthlessness of the attack.
With this, the testimony of a public transport driver and the camera inside his bus were exposed, which became decisive evidence for the investigation.

The video was captured by the security cameras of a RED bus that was passing through the place at that moment. There you can see that there were two cars that were helping a motorcycle from which the criminals committed the crime.
“Stop, Carabineros!” the officer shouted.
According to the prosecutor handling the case, "what the lieutenant wanted was to arrest these people, he never wanted to shoot them, he never shot them before. In his role as police officer he observed a flagrant crime and wanted to arrest them to hand them over to the authorities."
However, Lieutenant Sánchez could not carry out his action, and was shot from inside the vehicle by the criminals.
The Carabineros Criminalistics Laboratory determined that the deceased Carabineros major received 14 shots. While one of the criminals fell at the scene, he would have been shot by his own companions.
