An attempted robbery in a mobile phone store in the Uvaranas region, in Ponta Grossa, on the afternoon of this Thursday the 13th, resulted in a frustrated robbery and a criminal shot.

The incident occurred around 2:35 p.m., and according to preliminary information, the assailant, a 23-year-old young man, entered the store armed and announced the robbery. The owner, also armed, reacted quickly and immediately fired approximately five shots at the criminal.
The shots impacted the criminal's humanity, leaving him in critical condition, while the police were alerted about a robbery with shots.
At the premises, the owner, a victim of the event, explained that during the confrontation with the armed robber, he was forced to use his own weapon, a 9 mm caliber automatic pistol, and fire shots. The thief was injured, receiving medical attention before being transferred to the Regional Hospital.
Eyewitnesses indicated that the thief arrived at the store on a motorcycle, which was found parked nearby. The Scientific Police went to the scene to begin the pertinent investigations.
The thief's health status is critical and he remains in police custody. The Military Police are carrying out an investigation to clarify all the details of the incident.
